About Troy Simpson
Troy Simpson is a columnist, consultant, public speaker, and author of several highly-acclaimed published works.
A first-class-honours and prize-winning graduate of the Australian National University, in 1998 Troy was appointed the principal researcher and subeditor of a tome in the respected Oxford Companion series, a position he held until 2001. Troy wrote and co-wrote several groundbreaking encyclopaedic entries for the Companion, including the celebrated entry on “Humour”.
His other major works include a legal research and writing book called Win More Cases: The Lawyer's Toolkit (2008), a 10-step guide on persuasive legal writing. In preparing Win More Cases, Troy drew on his experience drafting winning arguments for some high-profile clients, including arguments that won the day in the highest courts in the land.
From 2002-2009, Troy was the CEO of a research and writing firm, Research One. Research One has won some prestigious local and national business awards, including several coveted Telstra Business Awards. Troy is a member of the exclusive Telstra Business Awards Network.
